Business Administration Apprentice - IFA Firm

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic school leaver to join a national financial services business at their Head Office in South Tyneside.

The ideal candidate for this excellent opportunity will be well motivated to work in a fast paced office environment as part of the business support department within a national financial services firm.

Fundamental to the role is the ability to manage your own time and workload to process multiple tasks at the same time and ensure effective resolution, ability to offer exceptional customer service, through excellent written, oral and organisational skills, whilst delivering accurate technical resolutions to issues.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

§ Opening and distributing all incoming post received at Head Office as part of the Administration team

§ Scanning all post received and uploading to the system or emailing it on to our staff as and when necessary.

§ Supporting our remote colleagues by liaising with third party providers via telephone and email to obtain policy information on behalf of their staff.

§ Receive incoming telephone calls from internal staff and third-party providers, in relation to post/post queries and redirecting incoming calls if required.

§ Identifying & differentiating items of post received for other departments within the business and processing them accordingly. For example, invoices, cheques, commission statements, complaints, novation documents, system log ins or HR documentation.

§ Processing all outgoing post from Head Office, 1st & 2nd class letters, parcels, International mail, Recorded and Special delivery and ensuring all tracking information is recorded and available to senders at any time.

§ Updating and managing department records for workloads received and escalating any issues which prevent the department running effectively.

§ Supporting other areas within the Admin/agency team with ad-hoc work requests to enable deadlines to be met.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

§ At minimum:

4-9 in English, Maths & IT / or L2 in English & Maths adult Functional Skills.

§ Desirable:

6-9 in English & Maths

§ Work with other members of administrative team to ensure that deadlines are met, and work is completed correctly

§ Implement and monitor programmes as directed by managers, and see through to completion
